What did you during the Persian Gulf War?

I was at KKMC King Kulad Military City for about a month before we moved out into the desert to set up POW camps. If we didn't cross paths, we were darn close!

I was in Marine Corps bootcamp at MCRD San Diego, envying the men and women who were over there. I was so bummed that I did not get to go, but I got to make up for it in the Coast Guard when I went over there for OIF II and III.

Being currently in the Active Army and a SFC/E-7 with almost 16 years in, we really don't see many people with either of the Liberation Medals of Saudi Arabia or Kuwait. I did see one the other day and he was saying he;s got 20 years in the service and he was talking retirement.

And of course, before 2003, you really didn't see many people with combat patches, but now you hardly ever see someone without one. Even though I'll be long gone from the Army when it happens, I can't wait to see it again when almost noone has a combat patch!

Regarding the Combat patches, I hear ya! It will be great to see an Army formation without any! They cost too much, if you know what I mean. :cry:

SGTJay, if we weren't shooting 'em we were hauling them to the POW camp(s). I have been a little busy, as you can tell, but am back and will post those pic's for ya! I gotta get 'em out, dust 'em, scan 'em, and then post 'em! BTW, gotta change my Signature...I forgot to put my name on it!

That sounds awesome.I'd love to see them. I just recently got a scanner myself. I need to do some scanning too.
